Jonathan Gold picks his 2018 Restaurant of the Year

Monday, April 30, 2018, 8:07 PM PT

A number of remarkable new restaurants have opened in L.A. in the last several years, but perhaps none as influential as Taco María, Jonathan Gold's pick for the 2018 Restaurant of the Year.

Chef Carlos Salgado's Costa Mesa restaurant serves tasting menus of modern cooking with a Mexican twist and has been at the center of a California-Mexican culinary movement that seems to grow in importance each year.

Join us for the second annual Los Angeles Times Food Bowl, our month-long food festival, which kicks off tonight.

Monday, April 30, 2018, 5:34 PM PT
